"Sing, Sing a song, Sing out loud, Sing out strong..."

I can't sing. I DO sing... alone in the car or in the shower if no one can hear me. But I can't sing. Not well. It's terrible really. Which is sad because I think I'd make a fabulous Rockstar by all other accounts. ::Sigh:: Oh well.

Anyway, like I was saying, I do belt out some tone-deficient tunes in my car on the way to work. Today I was singing loudly and passionately. I slept through the night last night. Even if it's not my night to get up with Carter, I wake up. Scott doesn't wake up so I HAVE to in order to wake him up. And I wake up on my own randomly throughout the night anyway. Sleeping all night last night uninterrupted made such a difference. So my singing was much more emphatic this morning.

I thought I heard my phone vibrate midsong at one point, so I grabbed it and looked down and my worst fears were realized...

I had made a call that was now CONNECTED and had been for NINE MINUTES. Holy crap. Someone was listening!! The name? ::Slaps Forehead:: I called my boss. On his work phone. And was apparently leaving my pig squeal on his voicemail.

I FLEW to work. My boss gets to work early almost every day. And he isn't the type to ignore something like that. I was going to hear about it. "Embarrassed" isn't a strong enough word.

I got to work. Threw my purse on the floor near my desk and went to his office to BEG him not to tell anyone. My heart was pounding. I was MORTIFIED. I turn the corner and.... closed door. I try it... it's locked.

HE'S NOT HERE YET!! HURRAY!!

I ran back to my desk, got my office key and erased the message.

::Whew::

No more singing in the car. I should get some books on tape.
