Yesterday. He must have. Only he knows my frustration and anxiety. When He saw that our nursery was put together, He must have thought, "Thank Me, now she'll shutup about it."
Finally. An assembled crib. A dresser and hutch carried upstairs and in it's new home. Old ceiling fan gone and a new fan installed (one without hideous clowns painted on it... ew!). New curtain rod and chocolate brown suede curtains. New lamp for dimly lit midnight feedings. Bedding washed and on Baby Durb's bed. Brand new adorable fluffy rug.

::Sigh of relief::
Nursery Basics: Check!
Thanks Nana and Popaw for coming over and helping Scott and I. I don't think it would have or could have gotten done otherwise. I am so excited to have that checked off my list. I still have lots to do. I still have lots I need. But having an actual place for Little Bit to live in our home helps. Alot. It also makes the thought of having a squishy, pink-faced boob gobbler seem more of a reality. That opens a whole other world of scary thoughts.
But whatever. Bring on the 4am crying. I am sooo over being pregnant. I just want to sleep on my stomach, not wake up in the middle of the night choking on my own stomach acid, have a couple margaritas, wear pants that don't have elastic anywhere on them, not feel like an 80 year-old woman when my back starts hurting, get in and out of vehicles with ease, and I'd like to see my crotch again. Yes. It's important. I groom. That is VERY difficult when you can't see what you're doing. It's frustrating. There. I feel better for saying that.
Um... so anyway, super excited about that nursery. Now if only I could win the lottery. Maybe then I could afford all the other stuff I need. That seems unlikely though since I don't buy lottery tickets. Hmmm...
Anyone need a kidney?
I started some of my crafty decoration ideas for little Durb's room. Read crafty as "cheap". :) I got lots of wooden square mirrors that I'm painting the all colors of the nursery. Each will be different. I know it's no Monet, but I try. And it's whimsical. Like childhood. Or something else that makes it seem like it looks silly on purpose.

And I made some picture frames that match the room, too. Being thrifty can be fun! And easy. And I like them and think they're cute. They all have different animals that go along with the safari nursery theme I have in there.

And worry not about my Trenton. I'm making him some things for his room, too. I am being VERY careful not to leave him out. I may even let him help me paint the rest of the mirrors for little brother's room. Lord knows he can do as good a job as I can.

You're very welcome. It was our pleasure to do something to help welcome Baby Durb into the world.
Smart to let Trenton help. You know how proud he can be of his handywork. He'll tell everyone for years to come, "Look what I made for my brother!"
