What a great long weekend! Saturday afternoon/evening, Scott, Carter and I {Trenton was in OK meeting his dad's newest girlfriend's parents} went out to Rockwall to my parents house. My brother, my mom and I then went out to the fireworks stand and bought almost $200 worth of fireworks. The great thing about my parent's house is that they live out in the country. So the "big" fireworks are ok for us to shoot off. I bought several different sized artillery shells and lots of cool stuff for Carter. Firetrucks that shoot stuff and drive, snappy bags, colored smoke bombs, fountains, etc. But my favorite is the big guns. Scott and I were really the only ones setting things, other than roman candles, off. But that's ok. I'd rather do the detonating than observe. The neighbors all came out and watched {probably because those things are LOUD at ground zero}. It was fun. Food, drinks and blowing stuff up. What's not to love?! Sunday was a chill day. We just hung out and Scott went to a poker tourn that night. He won, so woo hoo for some bonus cash! On the actual 4th, we went out to Plano's firework show at Oak Point Park. We sat on the hill with our drinks, snacks, and obligatory over priced light up toys they always sell and waited. Right on time {9:30pm} the sky lit up. It was a good show. I was impressed. It was a good time. I, of course, took a million pictures. SOME are posted below.
