We don't have a time, but we do have a place...

Baylor Frisco it is. The hospital. Or Baylor Medical Center at Frisco. Whatever it's called. Sheesh, give me a break! :) Wow. So nice. More hotel-ish than hospital. Which is TOTALLY different than when I had Trenton. Back then, I stayed in a hideously decorated labor and delivery room (think Motel 8... but worse) then was pushed down to a crackerbox room completely void of anything but a hospital bed and leather chair. Food sucked and every meal, Trenton's dad had to go downstairs to eat in the cafeteria. Not great for new family bonding. And they CONSTANTLY took Trenton away from me. Bath time, shots, hearing test, ect. Seemed like he spent more time out of the room than in. I was SOOO ready to go home with him and get out of there. Well, except for the underlying fear of being left alone with my baby and not knowing what to do with him. But that's something else entirely.

But this place seems GREAT!! Classy rooms that are HUGE compared to your standard hosptial. Room for a queen size air mattress if the twin foldout isn't enough for Dad. Food seems to be good and every couple gets a celebration meal before they leave. Steak and Lobster. Or Steak and Chicken or whatever you want. Notice I said "couple." Every meal, dad gets feed, too. Which I'm pretty sure Scott will appreciate. Unless he wants to get away from us. ::Shrugs:: He'll just have to be creative with his excuses. And they don't take the baby out of your room unless you ASK them, too. Everything's done in your room. Bath, shots, hearing test, ect. Of course, if you want to get some shut eye and send junior to the nursey, they'll do that too. :) AND they have nap time. 2pm-4pm every day. Lights go down and all is quiet. No visitors or calls. Of course, it's voluntary, but a great idea, I think. I am all about nap time. There's also a camera in all the postpartum rooms. So we'll get a password and then can give it out and let people use it as a webcam. We'll get a request to activate (on our flatscreen TV) and choose to accept if we're available, or deny if we're busy. So out-of-town friends and family can "visit". Security is tight. Only one way into the Women's Center and that's via elevator. Babies and mommies have bracelets that, when matched with each other, play music. If they don't match and play their tune or if they come off, the whole place goes into lock down. I thought that was cool.

More Labor and Delivery

Postpartum Room (much bigger in person)

Anway, we signed up for all of our classes and I got Trenton into a sibling class and I'm feeling more and more excited. Now, if we can just get the nursey set up...

I have the bedding, at least. Except the dust ruffle. Lol.

I have showers (which I am SOOOOOO excited about) coming up in September, so that should help with the "getting prepared" anxiety that's starting to set in. It SOUNDS like I have lots of time left... but I blinked and almost 7 months of this flew by, soooo... time to start doing stuff, I guess. Yikes!!
