My first day back at work. Wow. That's all I got. Just... wow.







Ok, I have lots more than that. It takes a great deal to render ME speechless. :)

I went to work today. It was a crazy day. I woke up with wild hair. Thanks rain, for this frizz fro. :/ Anyway, I got ready (in my JEANS, haha!) and got Carter's stuff all packed up. Off we went to our daycare. I love our daycare. They treated Carter like a KING before. So it wasn't tramatic to leave him because I knew everyone already and they knew us. So it was uneventful. Until I put Carter, who was drinking his breakfast bottle, in Ms. Charlotte's arms. To my horror, my bubby, who will almost never focus on anything else when he's eating, threw his bottle down and started to cry. If you knew how serious he his about food, you'd grasp how upset he was. It was awful!! It was like returning to work from maternity leave all over again. Only my unemployment stint was longer than maternity leave. So it was harder. :)

I made it to work without having a total meltdown. I was shown to my office and my brand new huge MAC computer. That thing is so fancy... but I've never used one before, so it takes some getting used to. You can't right click on a MAC. You don't realize how much you do that until... anyway, my office is nice. One whole wall of windows. They're windows to the parking lot, but who cares. :)

After a morning meeting that went fairly well, the day progressed smoothly. Except we lost 1/5 of our employees today. It was a 5 person office when I showed up this morning. It was a 4 person office when I left. Apparently, the IT dude had been dating the chick who WAS in my position. So, when he found out she wasn't there, he just quit. I don't even think she was fired. They're just restructuring. Even if she doesn't have a job anymore, what sense does both of them being unemployed make? Oh well. So now it me, the sales girl, the owner and his wife. The end. Lol. Although, I guess we're looking for a new IT person. :)

I think, based on today, that I'm going to like it.

AND when I got home, my fabulous husband had flowers waiting for me. What a great guy he is.

We went to a wedding this weekend and I think I may have fallen in love with him all over again. It's the little things. I don't know if he actually gets that, or he stumbled into perfection, but either way, I adore him. :)
